Presidential 2022: after the announcement of the results, “Marine Le Pen isolates herself on the terrace to discuss with Macron”

At 8 p.m. this Sunday, April 24, Emmanuel Macron’s face appears on TV screens . The candidate of La République En Marche is re-elected President of the Republic . The disappointment is great in the ranks of the National Rally. Gathered at the Pavillon d’Armenonville in Paris Marine Le Pen activists show their disappointment.

The daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen has known for a few minutes that she will not win the presidency of the country. Thanks to the results of the polling stations to which her relatives had access, the RN candidate is aware of her failure. Even more, she wants to join her opponent Emmanuel Macron in the process to recognize his defeat. But she then quickly realizes that “nobody has the mobile number” of the French president, as Sébastien Chenu, RN deputy from the North, confides to BFM TV .

Marine Le Pen’s warning to Emmanuel Macron

After a few phone calls to the entourage of the head of state , Mrs. Le Pen obtains her opponent’s number. “She isolates herself on the terrace to chat with him,” says Sébastin Chenu. According to the RN deputy, the exchange is quite brief. If the RN candidate congratulates Emmanuel Macron, she does not fail to warn him either, in the form of a “stroke of humor”. “She tells him that at the rate at which we are progressing, in five years, she wishes him not to run again because this time, it will most likely be the right one for her”, concludes the RN deputy, with BFMTV. It should be noted that according to article 6 of the French Constitution, the president can exercise only two mandates. It is therefore not possible for the current head of state to stand for re-election in 2027.

Shortly after this discussion, Marine Le Pen climbed onto the platform set up in her HQ and spoke to her activists. Faced with the latter, the far-right candidate is delighted with her score, which she describes as “historic”. “The result in itself is a resounding victory”, launches the one who won 41.5% of the vote in the second round.
