Polish citizen Balli Mazhets is trying to nominate her candidacy for the presidency of Kazakhstan. This was reported in the Central Election Commission of the Republic.

“Citizen of Poland Balli Mazhets has repeatedly applied to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a statement of her intention to run as a candidate for the presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the CEC of Kazakhstan said in a statement. The message of the commission leads KazTAG.

However, according to the publication, the Pole woman was explained that, according to the country’s constitution, only a citizen of the republic by birth, fluent in the state language, living in Kazakhstan for the last fifteen years and having a higher education can become president. A citizen applying for the presidency must also have experience in public service.

KazTAG noted that Mazhets was a contender for the Polish presidency in the 2015 elections. And in 2017, she asked the authorities of Kazakhstan for permission to stay in the country.
