It had been a while since PlayStation Network had encountered any problems. It’s a thing of the past on Tuesday, August 31, since many players cannot currently connect, play online and find friends in Vocal Party, unfortunately.
On this Tuesday evening, August 31, around 8:40 p.m., the PlayStation Network is completely down and seems to be undergoing maintenance. Indeed, several players have complained on social networks, especially on Twitter. At the time of this writing and when we ourselves have been the victim of the problem, it is impossible to launch online games, to join friends on multiplayer titles or to chat with them in a vocal party. On our side, we had an error message appearing on our PS5.
In addition, on the site PlayStation.com, they themselves notify that the services “are having difficulties”. As you can see in the image below, these are all the services that are in the red and are therefore unavailable.
Obviously, it’s a safe bet that the teams are currently working to resolve this issue and the services could become functional again shortly. As soon as this is the case, we will notify you of the change in this article. In the meantime, you can check the “Status” page of PlayStation.com linked above (in yellow) to see if the PSN is operational again. All that remains is to be patient.
