Eulji University Hospital (Director In-pyo Hong) announced on the 24th that Professor Jin-Sung Park of the Department of Urology has developed a questionnaire that can objectively measure the quality of life of Korean bladder cancer patients.

We developed a Korean version of the questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-NMIBC24) that proved its reliability and validity after a linguistic and psychometric validity survey for the European Oncology Research and Treatment Institution (EORTC)’s’Quality of Life for Patients with Superficial Bladder Cancer’. .
The questionnaire was composed of six areas, including urination symptoms, sickness, anxiety, bowel symptoms, sexual function, and male sexual problems, and 24 questions, including treatment problems in the bladder, and female sexual problems.
The research results were published in the latest online issue of the international journal’Cancer Research and Tretment’ under the title of’Development and Validation of a Quality of Life Questionnaire for Superficial Bladder Cancer Patients in Korean.’
Professor Park said, “Through the development of this questionnaire, we can objectively evaluate the quality of life of patients with superficial bladder cancer in Korea in the future. “I said.
