Prosecuting the case of destroying 1,600 crops in Dong Nai for investigation

(PLO)- Due to a land dispute, the man drove a hoe and rented a bulldozer to destroy 1,600 crops of all kinds.

On February 6, the police of Trang Bom district (Dong Nai) prosecuted the case to investigate and clarify the case that 1,600 crops of all kinds of people were damaged.

According to initial information from the police, in 2020 between Mr. Le Quoc Tuan (living in Ho Nai 3 commune, Trang Bom district) there was a dispute over a piece of land in Thanh Hoa hamlet (Ho Nai 3 commune) with Mrs. Do. Thi Truc Mai (living in Trang Bom district).

At this time, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Minh has a contract to lease the disputed land of Mrs. Do Thi Truc Mai. In March 2021, Mr. Minh planted 750 trees of Taiwan’s eagles, 750 trees of frankincense and 500 trees of sesame buds.

On August 11, 2022, Tuan drove a hoe and hired Le Trung Liet (who lives in Bac Son commune) to drive a bulldozer to the plot of land to bulldoze and destroy trees. Received the news, Mr. Minh went to the scene and saw that thousands of new trees planted within a few months had been destroyed, so he went to Ho Nai 3 Commune Police to report. The commune police made an initial file and temporarily seized 1 branded pick-up truck and 1 bulldozer and handed it over to the district police for investigation.

The police agency recorded the destruction of 1,600 trees of all kinds, including 450 Taiwanese eagle trees, 740 cedarwood trees and 410 sesame buds. Each tree is 1.5m-3m high and 0.3-0.6cm in diameter. The result of the damaged property valuation is nearly 150 million dong.

The Police Department of Trang Bom District Police has issued a decision to prosecute the property destruction case for further investigation and clarification.
