Protests in Russia: Putin takes refuge in his secret house

Russian President Vladimir Putin took refuge in his secret compound, near Lake Valdai, Russia, as several protests broke out in the country, MailOnline reported.

Putin visited his second home on Wednesday, according to freelance journalist Farida Rusamova, who cited three sources familiar with the president’s schedule.

The house has a three-story spa, a floating pool, a mud bath and a beauty salon.

Nevertheless, there is very little information about this secret residence. This one belongs to Yuri Kovalchuk, a billionaire and also Putin’s personal banker.

After the Russian president announced that 300,000 reservists were to fight in Ukraine, massive protests rocked Russia.

Putin intends to stay in his second home until Thursday, according to Farida Rusamova.
