PSG: despite the expected debut of Sergio Ramos, the match against Augsburg does not attract crowds

This Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Stade de la Source in Orléans, PSG faces Augsburg for its third preparation match for the new season which officially starts on Sunday August 1 for Paris with the Champions Trophy against Lille, in Tel Aviv (Israel) . For now, the Parisians have faced two resident teams from National. They won 4-0 against Le Mans, before conceding a 2-2 draw against Chambly.

The opposition against the Germans in Augsburg will certainly be the occasion to see Sergio Ramos evolve for the first time in his new colors. The defender arrived in the capital for eleven days should play his first minutes with PSG. An event that does not however boost the sale of tickets.

500 places at 10 euros

At 3 p.m. this Tuesday, only 840 tickets had been sold for PSG-Augsburg, and 800 for PSG-Genoa which will also be played in Orleans, this Saturday at 7 p.m. A gauge of 5600 spectators is set up for the two matches. Access to the stadium will be on presentation of a health pass, PCR or antigen test. For the less far-sighted, antigenic tests will be offered around the stadium as early as four hours before kick-off.

In the hope of stimulating ticketing, the Orleans club has approached in recent hours the organizer of the two matches (the company MCI Sports) and PSG in order to offer places at 10 euros in areas of the stadium. that were not open. In the middle of the afternoon, PSG announced a flash sale for PSG-Augsburg with the sale of 500 seats at 10 euros instead of 45 euros in the Vagner stand. An operation which generated an overload of traffic on the site of the Loiret club. Before that, three prices were offered: 25, 45 and 55 euros for the most expensive. But Paris without its stars is not successful and Wednesday many players will still be absent.

Indeed, if Ramos should take part in the match, this will not be the case for other rookies Gianluigi Donnarumma (leave), Achraf Hakimi (Covid) and Georginio Wijnaldum. The Dutchman must resume training at the end of the week, like Kylian Mbappé, Presnel Kimpembe and Danilo Pereira. The Copa America finalists (Neymar, Marquinhos, Paredes, Di Maria) are also on vacation. Moreover, Mauricio Pochettino will not be able to count on Édouard Michut (Covid), Rafinha (muscle overload), Ander Herrera (calf), Colin Dagba (ankle) and Juan Bernat (knee), who has just taken over the collective training after ten months without competition.
