Public Health Report on coronavirus No. 537

The Ministry of Public Health reports that on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, there were three deaths due to COVID-19.

The deceased are: a 75-year-old woman, a native of Sarmiento, who remained hospitalized at the Dr. Ventura Lloveras Hospital; a 61-year-old woman, from Zonda, admitted to the Dr. Marcial Quiroga Hospital; and a 65-year-old woman from Pocito, admitted to the Dr. Guillermo Rawson Hospital.

The Government of San Juan conveys its condolences to family members, friends and relatives and accompanies them in this painful moment.

It is also disclosed that until 7:30 p.m. on the date, the following official numbers of coronavirus cases were registered in San Juan:

  • New cases: 105
  • Total confirmed: 70,542
  • Patients with infectious process: 2,214
  • Deaths (accumulated): 1,131
  • Recovered: 67,197
  • Negative Tests: 1,054

Part of boarding schools

131 patients are hospitalized in the COVID-19 areas (between positives and suspects) of the Dr. Guillermo Rawson hospitals; Dr. Marcial Quiroga; Dr. Ventura Lloveras, from Sarmiento; Dr. César Aguilar, from Caucete; Dr. José Giordano, from Albardón; Dr. Federico Cantoni, from Pocito; CEMEC; Dr. Julieta Lanteri; San Roque Hospital, from Jáchal; Dr. Alejandro Albarracín Hospital, from Valle Fértil; Barreal Hospital, Calingasta; Private hospital; Medical Institute; El Castaño Clinic; Santa Clara Clinic; Sanatorio San Juan and CCI.

Of this total, 77 patients remain hospitalized in the Critical Area, 33 of whom are on mechanical ventilation.

Of the total number of hospitalized in the COVID-19 area, one is a pregnant patient. There are no confirmed pediatric COVID-19 patients.
