Quebec products: Jean Coutu and Brunet join the initiative

The Jean Coutu and Brunet drugstore networks, both belonging to the METRO chain, have joined forces with Les Produits du Québec to make it easier to find local products on the shelves.

The Products of Quebec, Made in Quebec and Designed in Quebec certification marks will be visible over the next few weeks in these two pharmacies, as well as in METRO and Super C stores.

“This partnership will allow us to offer customers the products they are looking for and to continue to support local businesses while contributing to the socio-economic activity of the regions where we are present,” said Josée Houle in a press release on Thursday. vice-president of merchandising for Jean Coutu and Brunet.

Supported by Quebec, Les Produits du Québec aims to promote Quebec products through a distinct certification mark. Nearly 20,000 products have already obtained this designation, according to Elfi Morin, general manager for Les Produits du Québec.

This identification is in addition to those of Aliments du Québec and Aliments Préparés au Québec which are already in place in the METRO and Super C banners.
