Paris: Racism against the French players who missed the penalty kick in the World Cup final against Argentina. Kingsley Coman, who missed a kick in the shootout, and midfielder Aurelian Shuwameni were racially abused.

The World Cup final match entered the shootout after both teams scored three goals each in extra time. Mbappe took the first kick for France and scored easily. But Coman’s shot from the second kick was saved by Argentina keeper Emiliano Martinez.

On the other hand, France was under pressure as Argentina’s players were all on target. The third kick for the French team was sent off by Shuameni, who were on their way to defeat. Kolo Mauni, who took the fourth kick, found the target, but Montyal put the fourth kick into the net to end Argentina’s wait for the World Cup.

After this, there were harsh racist remarks against the French players. French fans also hurled racial abuse at Kolo Mounie who missed a solid scoring chance in stoppage time. Posts and trolls have appeared racially abusing the stars including in the social media.

But his club Bayern Munich came out with a strong protest against Koman’s racist remarks. “We strongly condemn the racist abuse directed at Koman. “The Bayern Munich family stands firmly behind Koeman, racism has no place in the game or in our society,” the Bayern Munich club tweeted.
