Recall of harmful dog food | Abroad

Product recall – Because dogs are threatened with a vitamin D overdose, the company Mars and the Agroscope research institute are recalling certain batches of “Pedigree” dry food for four-legged friends. Dogs with symptoms should see a veterinarian.

The purchase price will be reimbursed in the form of vouchers, announced Mars and Agroscope on Tuesday. If consumed for several weeks, the affected batches of “Padigree” brand dry food can be harmful to health. Symptoms are extremely heavy drinking and the urge to urinate. The feed should not be administered further.

The recall concerns ten kilo bags of “Pedigree” Adult with poultry that have the best before date February 15, 2022. In addition, three-kilo packs of “Pedigree” adult lamb dated August 8, 2022 and adult poultry dated February 6, 2022 and February 15, 2022 are affected.

Dog owners with the products in question should send photos of the packs and their contact details by email to [email protected]
