Two models of respiratory masks were recalled because of an insufficient protective effect. A health risk exists, warn their manufacturers on Wednesday in two press releases.
On the one hand, SwissCommerce SA, in collaboration with the Accident Prevention Bureau (BPA), recalls the “TOP-KN98-KEN01” respiratory mask, of protection class FFP2. Masks of this type have been offered on the website www.reitsport.ch.
On the other hand, Aristos International Sàrl, in agreement with Suva, recalls the “KN95” respiratory mask from the manufacturer Huihong for the same reasons. In both cases, “users run the risk of being insufficiently protected against irreversible damage to health“, it is stated in the press releases.
Affected customers are requested to stop using this material and contact both companies in order to be able to exchange their stock for a compliant replacement product.
