Red Bull F1 representative Christian Horner dismisses the possibility of Ferrari transfer[F1-Gate.com]

Red Bull F1 team principal Christian Horner says he is not interested in replacing Mattia Binotto as Ferrari’s F1 team principal.

Ferrari put an end to intense speculation last week when it announced that it had accepted the resignation of former F1 team principal Mattia Binotto, effective December 31.

Mattia Binotto has managed to get Ferrari back into a competitive car as the F1 regulations reset for 2022, but as an early title challenge to Red Bull fades, the team has suffered from strategic mistakes, reliability issues and problems. The driver’s mistakes and their follow-up were to be scrutinized.

Ferrari has said the hiring of Mattia Binotto’s replacement is “expected to be completed in the new year”, with Alfa Romeo F1 team principal Frédéric Vasseur seen as the most likely option at this stage. There is, but others are also linked.

Asked in an interview with Sky Sports F1 if he was surprised by Mattia Binotto’s departure, long-time Red Bull Racing F1 team boss Christian Horner said: “Not really. So it’s obviously Ferrari’s choice.” and commented.

“I think he’s going to be the sixth[Ferrari]team principal since he came to Red Bull[in 2005]. Of course it’s difficult for him. They had a great car this year. They’re very competitive for sure. was there”

Asked if there was a scenario of a move to Ferrari, Christian Horner said

Ferrari finished the 2022 season with four wins in the constructors’ standings, 205 points behind Red Bull, who won 17.

During his time with the team, Horner led Red Bull to six drivers’ championships and five constructors’ titles.
