Early Tuesday evening, a major fire took place in the heart of the Hauts-Sarts zoning, in Herstal. It is within the Combustibles Piron station, installed in the rue de Hermée, that two explosions first sounded, before the arrival of the flames.
If the Liège firefighters – helped by civil protection – arrived quickly on the spot, it was not until around 1:40 a.m., on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, that they left the scene of the intervention.
