The spokesman acknowledged that the process is very difficult, due to the terrain of the area and the fragile soil that prevents progress at the drilling level, pointing to the approach of the rescue teams to the stage of horizontal drilling, which he stressed is one of the “most important and complex stages.”
Efforts to save the child Ryan have been continuing in full swing and without stopping, since Wednesday morning, as dozens of civil protection members, the local authority, the royal gendarmerie and the auxiliary forces, under the supervision of the regional authorities, supported by heavy excavation mechanisms, are working to achieve this task..
The mechanisms working in the field of digging were reinforced with a sixth bulldozer in order to speed up the excavation and dredging operations, and a medical helicopter belonging to the Royal Gendarmerie and an ambulance with a nursing staff specialized in resuscitation were mobilized in order to transport the child Rayan to the hospital as soon as he was removed from the well.
