After the successful remake of Resident Evil 2, fans of Resident Evil are known to get a new edition of Resident Evil 3 by the hand in April. Afterwards, the survival horror series will probably not get a new release for a long time, also because with regard to Resident Evil 8, not everything is going as expected.
Survival horror and resident evil fans have had some good times lately. The remake of Resident Evil 2 was convincing and the new edition of Resident Evil 3 was released in early April 2020 and was surprisingly early. But what about the sequel to Resident Evil 8? If it comes to a well-known Leaker, then this title will be a long time coming – and for a reason.
Via Twitter answered again AestheticGamer to speak and now spoke about Resident Evil. Accordingly, the next main part at Capcom had been in the making since the end of 2016, only to be temporarily put on hold in the course of 2017. Reason: DLC for Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 remake required more manpower, since they were already behind schedule.
In the period that followed, it continued because AestheticGamer wants to know that a version of Resident Evil 8 has been in the works for several years. But now there is the catch: This game version was reportedly stamped out by Capcom in mid-2019 and work on the next horror title started again.
A new game variant has been in the works for 6 to 7 months, and although some assets are likely to be taken over, Resident Evil 8 is not even under a year in development. Also means: The new title will be a long time coming.
There was a version of RE8 that was in development since late 2016, though it went on pause during 2017 due to needing more hands on for RE7’s DLC and RE2 (which was behind schedule at the time). Still, there was an RE8 version that was in the works for a few years.

Even worse: If you believe the Leaker, after the Resident Evil 3 remake, no further new editions of previous titles are planned. Remakes would no longer be on Capcom’s agenda for the next few years as far as the franchise is concerned.
But there is always a glimmer of hope for Capcom fans: other game brands are to be given the same style as Resident Evil Reboots. And: In addition to Resident Evil 8, another title is to be developed within the franchise that could possibly appear in 2021. That should not be considered safe, even if you believe this rumor.
AestheticGamer had previously reported an upcoming remake of Resident Evil 3 in March 2019 and claimed that the release would be surprisingly close. Some time later, the official announcement followed and the claim regarding the release date turned out to be correct: Resident Evil 3 Remake will be released on April 3, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
