They say goodbye to 2022 with a hammer
The sculptures were made of three tons of ice.
They represented the invasion of Ukraine, the coronavirus, the rise in prices, climate change and the World Cup in Qatar
Risto Mejide and Marilo Montero they have been in charge of giving welcome 2023 from the Magical Christmas Park in Torrejón de Ardozbut first they wanted to say goodbye to 2022 in a most peculiar way.
The two presenters, accompanied by Antonio Castelo and Virginia Riezu, they have left 2022 behind with a clean hammer. They have destroyed five ice sculptures that represented the worst of 2022, events that have marked us and not for the better.
The five ice sculptures
Las ice sculptures They represented the worst events of the year we have left behind:
- Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
- Climate change and its deniers. By mentioning this, Risto Mejide has recalled that 2022 has been the warmest New Year’s Eve since there are records.
- The rise in prices.
- The coronavirus.
- The World Cup in Qatar, especially for everything that surrounded soccer.
The four of them took their hammers and destroyed the sculptures, hoping that 2023 will be better.
