As part of World AIDS Day, December 1, the Sida collective in Rodez and its many partners are devoting an entire afternoon to the theme at the Saint-Éloi neighborhood center.
The Covid epidemic, which continues to sweep the world for months, has focused most of the debates for months, putting many equally important subjects in the background. Like AIDS, which we don’t hear too much about at the moment. Yet the disease is far from wiped off the map. Worse, it would even be making new victims. Especially among young people. The fault, according to Noëlle Tardieu, “to the lack of preventive actions” in the field and in schools. “The fight against AIDS must never stop or weaken”, warns the Relay HIV coordinator in Rodez.
It is in this context that an awareness-raising afternoon was organized as part of the World Day, on December 1.
On the program of this meeting open to all free from 2 p.m. in the Saint-Éloi neighborhood center: quick and anonymous screenings, viewing and awarding of prizes for the video competition initiated in 2019, information stands animated by the partners gathered within the collective Sida Rodez and battles animated by Onethiphop and a concert of the crazy duo and touches everything from Plan Z. At the same time, the collective will do prevention around HIV and STIs (infections sexually transmitted) with free distribution of condoms and materials, as well as a quiz and games.
