Islamabad: Veteran Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal is not interested in the way of appointing captains in each format of cricket. Akmal also alleged that Rohit Sharma was given the captaincy of all formats and that it affected the player badly. The sarcasm of the Pakistani player pointed out that the Indian captain was confused after winning the toss in the second ODI against New Zealand.
Kamran Akmal responded on YouTube channel that Virat Kohli has effectively led Team India in all formats for five years. “You can definitely appoint two captains. Work load can be managed in this way. Being a captain in all three formats is not an easy task. Virat Kohli, who led the Indian team for five years in all formats, is brave. Now look at Rohit Sharma’s situation. He has even forgotten to say batting or bowling after winning the toss.” – Akmal responded.

“I will not support three captains in all three formats. Cricket World Cup is just around the corner. So now there is no time to change the captain. India should have changed the captain immediately after the Twenty20 World Cup. Then the new captain would have at least got some time.” – Akmal clarified. India had removed Rohit Sharma from the captaincy in the Twenty20 series. Hardik Pandya will lead India in the Twenty20 series against New Zealand starting on Friday.
