Burgundy in Boston is worn by William and Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales on day two of their three-day visit to the Massachusetts state capital.

It is the couple’s first trip outside of the UK since taking on their new roles as Prince and Princess of Wales in the wake of Queen Elizabeth’s death.

The visit is marked by the presentation of the global environmental prize by the prince. Each of this year’s five Earthshot Prize winners will receive $1 million to support projects aligned with the organization’s 2030 goals: Protecting and Restoring Nature, Cleaning the Air, Revitalizing the Oceans, Building a Waste-Free World, and Improving the World climates.

Royal couple wears partner look

Before Friday’s awards ceremony culminates the three-day trip, the royals will visit a climate technology incubator, Greentown Labs in Somerville and non-profit organization Roca in Chelsea on Thursday. Middleton shows up on both dates, according to the Modeblogs „What-Kate-Wore‘ in a chic pink pussybow blouse and wide-legged pant suit by Roland Mouret. Her pale pink top resembles the blue silk Winser London blouse she wore on a visit to Northern Ireland this autumn.

The maroon suit is complemented by the burgundy Chanel bag and diamond gold hoop earrings, Daniella Draper’s Luxury Cupid Hoops. Like his wife, the Prince of Wales is wearing a burgundy sweater under a shirt and tie, and a sport coat over that, in Boston that day.

Stroll in style

Later in the afternoon, the royal couple opt for another style change. The fashion blog “What-Kate-Wore” suspects that Kate is wearing a fitted turtleneck sweater by American designer Gabriela Hearst with a matching ribbed skirt under her Alexander McQueen coat with peak lapels and back slit.

On Friday, Prince William and Princess Kate will part ways: Kate will visit the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, while Prince William will tour the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Dorchester. In the evening, the awards ceremony will take place at the MGM Music Hall in Fenway, Boston with artists such as Ellie Goulding and Billie Eilish.
