Russian army retreats in annexed Jershon region in the face of Ukrainian advance

Russia recognized today the progress of ukrainian army in the annexed region of Khersonin the south of the country, where he managed to break some lines russian defensive and forced the troops of Vladimir Putin and pro-Russian to fall back to new defense positions.

“The enemy managed to penetrate our defense in the direction of Gold Sawdust y Oleksandrivka with numerically superior tank units,” the Russian defense spokesman, Igor Konashenkov.

According to the Russian command, “Russian troops occupied a previously prepared line of defense and continue to attack the enemy en masse.”

Both localities are located about 130 kilometers northeast of the city of Jershon.

“The losses of Ukrainian fighters in this area amounted to about 130 troops and 23 combat machines,” Konashenkov added.

On the eve, the Ukrainian president, Volodímir Zelenskisaid during a speech to the people that his country’s troops had liberated Arkanhelske y Myrolyubivka in that region, about 20 kilometers west of Golden Balka.

Kherson is one of the four Ukrainian regions -along with Donetsk, Lugansk and Zaporizhia-, annexed by Russia last Friday, a process confirmed today by the State Duma or Russian Lower House in a plenary session and will be confirmed tomorrow by the Federation Council or Senate.
