At the request of Ukraine and Russia, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced on Monday the establishment of a fact-finding mission to investigate the incidents at a prison from the Olenivka region.
Moscow and kyiv accuse each other of the strikes that targeted the Olenivka prison in eastern Ukraine on July 29.
Led by Lieutenant General, Brazilian Carlos Alberto dos Santos Cruz, the mission is tasked with establishing the facts of the incident and reporting back to the UN Secretary-General upon completion of its work, the spokesperson said. – UN spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric during his daily press briefing.
The mission has two members: Icelandic Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir and Nigerian Issoufou Yacouba, he said.

According to the media, more than 50 Ukrainian detainees died in the attack which targeted the prison of Olenivka.
