The Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Foreigners (Saime) will carry out special “pre-electoral” identification days starting this Monday, October 19, to “guarantee the right to vote” in the disputed parliamentary elections on December 6.
Néstor Reverol, Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace of the Nicolás Maduro regime, spread the information through his Twitter account and explained that the user service mechanism will be from Monday to Wednesday, between 08:00 : 00 in the morning and 03:00 in the afternoon.
He added that people will be served according to the terminal ID number.
In this sense, on Monday citizens whose ID ends in 0-1-2-3 will be served; Tuesday 4-5-6; and Wednesday 7-8-9.
In Lara state, the offices set up for these special identification days will be El Ujano-Barquisimeto and Quíbor.
“The Venezuelan State ratifies its commitment to democracy, by providing in the midst of a global pandemic, the necessary conditions so that each citizen can vote in the upcoming 2020 parliamentary elections,” Reverol indicated.
