Game news Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin – No DLC planned, but a desired sequel
Available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One since November 20, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin has been fairly well received by gamers and critics, and has been distributed over 500,000 copies according to the latest known figures.
However, if you are one of the gamers who want a little bit of a slack, you’ll have to keep your fingers crossed and be patient. In interview with Famitsu and relayed by Ryokutya 2089, the Edelweiss studio announced that‘no DLC is in the boxes, but that he nevertheless hopes be able to develop a sequel at Sakuna : Of Rice and Ruin. At present, nothing allows to say that a sequel will emerge, which means that whatever happens, it will take a long time.
There are no plans for DLC, but we would love to do a sequel if the opportunity arises. While we don’t have any concrete plans for a sequel, I have nothing but gratitude to the fans. When the time is right, I hope we can live up to their expectations.
During this interview, the studio also returned to the mechanics of rice cultivation, considered too complex by some of the public:
Despite requests from the staff, we were determined not to implement the feature to plant rice in an orderly fashion. We didn’t want this to be a process you could complete with the push of a button.
