Salud and PAMI coordinate preparatory actions for vaccination against Covid-19


The Minister of Health, Lic. Natividad Nassif and the Undersecretary Dr. César Monti held a working meeting with the Director of PAMI at the local level, Dr. Julio Castro with the aim of advancing in the coordination of actions for the next arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine.

PAMI has more than 87,000 members over the age of 60, one of the target groups for immunization, along with health personnel, strategic personnel, and people between 18 and 59 years of age with risk factors.

For this, the health portfolio launched an organizational strategy that includes all aspects related to logistics, distribution, application of the vaccine and the nominalized registry of those who must be immunized due to their vulnerability.

More than 200 thousand people must be immunized at the time of having the vaccine in the country. The complexity of this campaign is not only made up of the number of people who have to place two doses in a short period of time, but also the logistics of transport and the cold chain that also requires a strict registration system.
