Will the Samsung flagship arrive in January? 3 Min. read
After all the major manufacturers have presented their smartphones this year, planning for the top models is already in full swing for the next year. Samsung, which presented two new flagships this year with the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20, are of course working hard on the successor. Now the first render images have appeared showing the first details of the new Samsung Galaxy S21 (or maybe S30).
The Italian website coverpigtou, a provider of smartphone cases, is showing renderings made in collaboration with the leaker David Kowalski (@xleaks7) were created. The design was created from leaked CAD drawings, dimensions and videos. So the (middle) Galaxy S21 – if it is called that – around 151.7 mm long, 71.2 mm wide and 8 mm thick be.
New design for the triple camera
The rear camera is on the top left, like the current one Galaxy S20 (Test), but is no longer enclosed in a rectangle. Instead, Samsung leaves the three sensors “flow” out of the frame to the rear, whereby the smartphone should be about 9 mm thick at this point. The associated LED flash is located outside of the camera bezel. There are currently no specific details about the built-in sensors because, according to coverpigtou, work is still being done on the cameras. However, it is very likely that a wide main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle camera and a telephoto zoom camera will be used.

Is Samsung also planning a “mini” model?
A display with a centrally located punch hole are used. In addition, at least as the CAD images show, the sides should not be curved. There is no technical data for the Samsung Galaxy S21 yet, but there will be a compact 6.24 inch display expected. After Apple has already shown a very handy smartphone with the iPhone 12 Mini, Samsung could also follow suit with a smaller device. The USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker sit on the underside, the SIM compartment should be on the top.
Inside it will probably be the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which will be presented at the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020 (virtual this year) in early December. Depending on the market, Samsung will probably be back on one in-house Exynos counterpart put, which should be on par in terms of performance.
UPDATE: further render images should confirm the design
Now more render images are on voice.com surfaced in collaboration with Leaker @OnLeaks have arisen. They also show the design with the “rotating” camera, the punch hole in the middle and the flat display. In addition, this article again emphasizes that Samsung will probably launch a “Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra” will present.
Presentation probably already in January
When Samsung will present the new flagship smartphone is currently unknown. In recent years, the Korean manufacturer has always taken the MWC in Barcelona as an occasion, will that be the case again in 2021? After both the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 started on time, the new Galaxy S21 will also have a punctual launch. First rumors suspect one Presentation in January, so it could start exciting next year. What do you expect from the new Samsung flagship?
