Samuel L. Jackson unrecognizable in The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray

The Apple TV + series will be an adaptation of Walter Mosley’s book.

Before reprising his role as Nick Fury on Disney Plus in Secret Invasion, Samuel L. Jackson lands on Apple TV + and is revealed in a first glimpse of the limited series The last days of Ptolemy Gray, before its release on Friday March 11 (with the first two episodes, followed by a new episode every Friday).

Comprising six episodes, this adaptation of the eponymous Walter Mosley book, by Mosley himself, will see Samuel L. Jackson embody Ptolemy Grey, a sick man neglected by his family and friends. When Reggie, his faithful nephew who was watching over him, suddenly disappears, Ptolemy is about to sink even more into insanity and loneliness. Robyn, a young orphan played by Dominique Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah) is then designated to take care of Ptolemy. When they hear about a treatment that could help Ptolemy regain his memory, lost due to the illness, they begin a journey that will lead them to reveal painful truths, whether they belong to the past, present or future. ..

The rest of the cast also includes Cynthia Kaye McWilliams (Bosch), Damon Gupton (Black Lightning), Marsha Stephanie Blake (When They See Us), Walton Goggins (Justified) and Omar Miller (Ballers).
