Reports are now coming out that Sanju has been beaten from ODIs. The Indian team is currently preparing for the 2023 World Cup. The BCCI aims to select the best XI through the series ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup to be held in India in the months of October and November. It was in this situation that Sanju was dropped from the ODI against Sri Lanka. In 2022, India won multiple series against all the top teams but failed to win the multi-nation tournaments. India will face Sri Lanka in the first series of 2023. The two Asian giants will face each other in three ODIs and T20Is each. Despite his excellent performance in ODIs in 2022, once again star wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson has been overlooked from the ODI squad.
