The tropical depression over the Pacific Ocean has been upgraded to this year’s No. 19 typhoon “Sanka” on the 14th. Although it has no direct impact on Taiwan, there are still two tropical depressions that are still developing. Typhoons “Sha” and “Haitang”; among them, the predicted path of the tropical low pressure code TD23 will cross the Bashi Strait and close to Taiwan. When it is upgraded to a typhoon, it is very likely that a coast warning will be issued, and there is a chance that it will have a co-accompanying effect with the northeast monsoon. The weekend may usher in a “three dances together” situation.
The Bureau of Meteorology pointed out that the depression TD23 over the eastern sea of the Philippines intensified into a tropical depression at 8 am today, and its intensity is still rising. There is also a chance to upgrade to a typhoon to issue a coast guard. However, Zhang Chengchuan, a forecaster from the Bureau of Meteorology, pointed out that it remains to be seen whether the onshore typhoon warning will be issued next, but at present, according to the path, the possibility is low, unless the storm circle expands in the future.

Zhang Chengchuan also said that once TD23 is upgraded to a typhoon, the storm circle will be 180 kilometers long, which is much larger than the storm circle of ordinary typhoons. Therefore, the impact of the peripheral circulation is also relatively large, which may bring heavy rain to Taiwan. The police will also activate a large-scale torrential rain warning; but it is still unknown whether there will be a typhoon holiday.
In addition, the weather report of the Meteorological Bureau also pointed out that from Saturday to next Monday (15th to 17th), due to the northward movement of the southern low pressure cloud system, the water vapor in Taiwan gradually increased, and there were showers in the northern and eastern half of the area. , There is a chance of local heavy rain or torrential rain in the northeastern region and the Greater Taipei Mountains on Sunday, there is a chance of local heavy rain in the north and east of Taoyuan; there is also a chance of local heavy rain in the southeastern region on Sunday.
