Sarah Atcho announced it on social networks, she suffers from pericarditis, an inflammation of the membrane that surrounds the heart. She will have to take it easy over the next few weeks to give her heart time to recover.
The Vaudoise explains that she received her third Pfizer vaccine on December 22, because she did not want to “both about it once the season started”.
She then explains, “On December 27, I felt tightness in my chest and started to feel dizzy when walking up the stairs.” She therefore decided to consult a cardiologist who diagnosed her with this pericarditis.
The 26-year-old sprinter says she is upset by the situation “because there is not enough talk about the side effects (note: vaccine)“, she says.
