Sarah, Duchess of York’s real estate investment in London

Since her marriage to Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson has lived in a company apartment in Buckingham and then in a villa made available by King Hussein of Jordan before settling with his family at the very controversial Sunninghill Park estate in Windsor. A vast residence in a very American style which was nicknamed by its detractors “SouthYork” in allusion to “South Fork”, the ranch of the Ewing family in Dallas .

After her separation in 1990, the Duchess of York moved to Romenda Lodge in Surrey before settling at Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate with her ex-husband Prince Andrew.

In 2014, the prince and his ex-wife bought a chalet together in the Verbier ski resort. It had to be sold to allow the prince to pay the settlement agreement with Virginia Giuffre who accused him of rape. This investment to the tune of 6 million euros according to the British press, was made solely by Sarah Ferguson. The property had until then been the property of Hugh Grosvenor, 7th Duke of Westminster, the wealthiest in the kingdom and a coveted bachelor. His mother Natalia is one of Prince William’s godmothers. Again the Yorks are in the eye of the storm because the question arises of the origin of such financial leeway to conclude this purchase.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York are married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank respectively and are the mothers of Sienna Elisabeth and August Phillip. They currently live at Saint James’s Palace in London and Frogmore Cottage in Windsor and intermittently in Portugal.
