In the felt perception it had already become apparent. However, the largest European child and youth study has now poured into detailed figures what many have already observed in their own environment: the pandemic has had a negative impact on the health of children and adolescents. In particular, the psychosocial health of schoolchildren in Austria suffered during the Corona period – that of girls and young women more than that of boys and young men. Overweight and obesity are more widespread in both sexes than they were in the last survey four years ago.
