Serge Ibaka leaves the Raptors for the Clippers!

It was thought that the Clippers had taken a big blow to morale by losing Montrelz Harrell, gone to the Lakers, but ESPN announces that they have achieved one of the best picks of the offseason by recruiting Serge Ibaka! At the end of one of his most career seasons, the 2019 NBA champion decided to leave Toronto for a simple contract of 19 million over two years, type 1 + 1. It’s as amazing as Harrell’s choice, and it’s a sign that Ibaka really wanted to join Los Angeles.

The Spain international is a bit the antithesis of Harrell as he will bring defense and versatility, and his trio with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George will form one of the most impressive frontlines defensively. Without a doubt, Ibaka has acquired over the years a very reliable 3-point shoot, and this is a big added value for the team now coached by Tyronn Lue.

For the Raptors, it is obviously a big blow since it will be difficult to make up for his departure. But we can trust Masai Ujiri to find the right interior to limit the damage.
