This Wednesday, around 4:30 p.m., help was called rue d’Esquermes in Lille for several people injured by stabbing, says La Voix du Nord. Three ambulances were dispatched, as well as a Smur team and nearly ten police officers.
There, they discovered four young men, one of whom was lying on a sidewalk, in front of a closed bakery. At 5:10 p.m., help began transporting the injured to various hospitals. Three are considered lightly injured, the fourth is more seriously injured.
The police seek to determine the circumstances of these assaults.
The bladed weapon, which could be a machete, has not been found. But a suspect was arrested and taken into custody. An investigation was opened by the Urban Security of Lille, for violence with a weapon. The facts appear to have taken place without a direct witness. The circumstances were still very vague, this Wednesday evening.
