Actress Lynn Cohen († 86), known from the television series “Sex and the City”, is dead. She died in New York on Friday, her manager Josh Pultz confirmed to the DPA news agency on Saturday. The cause of death is currently unclear.
Cohen was born in Kansas City in 1933. In 1983 she had her first major appearance in the film “Without a Trace”. Her breakthrough came in 2000 as Magda in the cult series “Sex and the City”. She was also seen in the two films for the series.
The actress also convinced in small supporting roles. She also played in the TV series “Law and Order” and in the blockbuster “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”.

Fans and friends commemorate the late actress on social media. Her colleague Sarah Jessica Parker (54) wrote on Instagram: «Beautiful Lynn Cohen. Talent, grace, inspiration. Rest in peace.”
