An American found out she was a millionaire by opening an email that was in her junk box.

Laura Spears from Michigan decided to go through her junk mail before deleting them and she came across a message from the Mega Millions Lottery.
She had bought a ticket for the draw on December 31, without having it checked.
“I saw an email from the Lottery saying that I had won a prize. I couldn’t believe what I was reading,” she said.
With her ticket, she won a total amount of three million dollars.
She told CNN that she added the Michigan Lottery to her safe senders list afterwards.
