Relations are still not looking good in the neighborhoods. Val has paid the price for 20 years. Until 2001, this lady from Bath, in the South West of England, had stunning views from her garden.
But one fine day, her neighbor decided to ruin her life, and not in any way… Indeed, the latter found nothing better than to plant a giant Leylandis hedge. The height of this hedge? More than 15 meters!
For two decades, Val fought against her neighbor Betty, who is sadly now deceased, says The Sun. After this long conflict, the lady admits defeat. A law can indeed order the destruction of the hedge if it constitutes an “obstruct to light or access”. In Val’s case, her house gets enough light and the trees are no problem for access.
She must therefore continue to live with this view, while continuing to imagine the one she had 20 years ago.
