[Financial Channel/Comprehensive Report]Foreign media reported that the oil giant “Royal Dutch Shell” has officially changed its name to “Shell” on the 21st of this month.

Shell said in a document that the company’s board of directors decided in December to remove the “Royal Netherlands” word from the company’s original name for more than 130 years and change its name to “Shell”, a change that is now effective.

Shell’s stock names on the London, Amsterdam and New York stock exchanges will also reflect the change by the end of January, the report said.

Shell said that the name change will not affect the company’s shareholding structure, and the A shares and B shares will remain unchanged for the time being, and it plans to merge the above shares into a single common stock on the 29th of this month.

In addition to the name change, the report also pointed out that Shell also plans to abandon its dual-class share structure and move the company’s headquarters from The Hague, the Netherlands, to London, England.
