Yasser Kantoush, actress Sherine Abdel Wahab’s lawyer, said that Sherine Abdel Wahab had issued a mental health report to her that she had completed her recovery, and despite that, the hospital administration in which she was staying refused to comply with the decision to leave.
Kantoush added, in a telephone interview to the program “Happening in Egypt” with the journalist Sherif Amer, that the “Mental Health” report regarding Sherine’s discharge from the hospital must be respected, adding: “The hospital changed the scenario and forced Sherine to sign a paper as if she was staying with it by choice, and Sherine was represented for investigation. In the Public Prosecution Office, everyone will be surprised by the facts of the investigation.”
Sherine’s lawyer explained: “We were in the hospital yesterday, and it is unfortunate that she refused to enter us, so we contacted the Public Prosecution, and Sherine contacted me to publish the audio recording she sent me with her desire to leave the hospital.”
