Shooting Six Flags Great America Illinois, three shots

Three people were fatally shot Sunday night at the Six Flags Great America theme park in Gurnee, Illinois, park officials said.

Shots were fired from a single vehicle in the parking lot before immediately driving away just before the park closed at 8 p.m., a park spokesperson told the Post.

Park security personnel and Gurnee Police Department on-site substation officers responded to the scene.

Two people were taken to a local hospital while a third refused to seek treatment.

Their conditions were not immediately available, but a law enforcement source told WGN-TV the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The incident happened at the Six Flags Great America theme park in Gurnee, Illinois.

The park, located about 40 miles north of Chicago, closed early with guests and crew members being evacuated by the Gurnee Police Department. Police have yet to comment on the shooting.

Authorities told WGN-TV that police were still searching the area to make sure all guests and employees were accounted for.
