The Shougang team went from Beijing to Qingdao to participate in two warm-up matches last Wednesday, with a record of one win and one loss. After the warm-up match, the team spent a day of training and adjustment in Qingdao, and set off for the Foshan Division on the 26th. They arrived at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport by flight in the morning. After getting off the plane, they conducted nucleic acid tests collectively. After everything was normal, the whole team took the bus to the Foshan competition area. The bus journey took more than an hour. After the team arrived at the hotel, it was already evening. After arriving at the hotel, the entire team underwent nucleic acid testing again, and they were quarantined in the room until the results came out. The hotel also distributed quarantine meals to various players. After the nucleic acid test results come out, players and coaches can end their isolation and resume normal activities.
In order to better ensure the team’s food and housing safety, the entire hotel was given to the CBA team this time, and no other foreign guests were received. In this respect, compared to the previous stage, there is a big difference, and this allows the players to have more room to move.
Shougang team completes the first training in the competition area
On the 27th, the Beijing Shougang team completed the first training after arriving in the Foshan competition area. The training venue is the Shunde International Sports Culture and Performing Arts Center, which once hosted some games of the 2019 Men’s Basketball World Cup. The hardware conditions of the venue meet the requirements of the game and are conducive to the players’ performance. In the training on the 27th, Shougang defender Brown did not participate in the confrontation training because he injured his leg during the previous warm-up match.
Due to the good hardware conditions of the venue, the players are more excited and look forward to the opening of the third stage.
Brown did not play in the warm-up
Previously, Brown also missed the warm-up match with the Tianjin team due to a leg injury during the warm-up match with the Qingdao team.
Then the team arranged for Brown to go to the local hospital for an MRI examination, and the initial diagnosis was not serious. But to be on the safe side, the team also contacted two American medical experts for a consultation. Whether Brown’s injury will affect his participation in Stage 3 is uncertain.
