President Pedro Castillo finally announced that he would approve the new AFP retreat 2022, in which members may have up to 4 UIT from their pension fund. Now, the entity in charge is the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFPs (SBS); So, what did the SBS say about the procedure to access this benefit? Here the details.
What until a few days ago was on the side of the Executive, has now become a task for the Superintendence, since once approved by the President, it would remain to know what is the procedure to be followed by the pension fund organization. The answer was not long in coming and, through a statement, they reported what will happen in the coming days.
“The Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and AFPs (SBS) informs the members of the Private Pension System (SPP) that It is already preparing the operating procedure that will allow the withdrawal of up to 4 UITs from the pension fundaccording to the law enacted today (Friday, May 20) by the Executive Power”, reads the publication.
“The SBS will ensure strict compliance with cybersecurity protocols by the supervised entities, so that affiliates can make their withdrawal safely”, they added in the letter. In this way, the entity specified that they will focus on conditioning the correct, and above all safe, operation of the platforms for the disposal of money.
Among other indications, the SBS suggested to the thousands of beneficiaries of this measure -proposed by Congress and finally approved by the Executive- to obtain information through the official channels of each AFP. In this way, it will be possible to carry out a more agile and secure process for those affiliated to pension funds in the country.
¿WHAT THE 2022 AFP RETREAT WILL BE LIKE?
- First disbursement of up to 1 UIT: within a maximum period of 30 calendar days after submitting the application to the AFP.
- Second disbursement of up to 1 UIT: Within a maximum period of 30 calendar days.
- Third disbursement for the remainder of the requested amount up to 2 UIT: Within a maximum period of 30 calendar days.
