The absence of Gerardo Martino in the open training from Mexican team before the game against Peru caused a stirand the strategist came out to explain the reasons for which he made that decision and stated that in your position as coach of the national teameverything has caused a lot of controversy.
“I didn’t think that would have to be debated. Sometimes breathing is a matter of debate, and breathing we will continue to do,” said the strategist at a press conference.
Tata asserted that in that kind of event with the fans usually the least they want to see is the coach of the National Team, because the true idols are the players.
“The fan didn’t want to see me. I’m not saying they don’t love me. i sign t-shirts but then the players come and they turn me around”, he asserted.
