[Seoul, 20th Archyde.com]–Korea’s president-elect Yoon Seok-yeol announced on the 20th that the Oval Office will be relocated from the Blue House to the Pentagon’s office.

Mr. Yoon has moved the office to a more accessible location and has stated in his election pledge that the Blue House will be open to the public.

He also said he would move the official residence to Hannam-dong, Seoul.

“It’s difficult, but I made a decision for the future of the nation,” he said at a press conference.

Some of the current ruling Democratic Party of Korea have criticized Mr. Yoon for being influenced by Feng Shui. The Yoon camp denied such effects and explained that it aimed to improve access and stimulate dialogue with his supporters.

President Moon Jae-in also indicated that he would look for a new office for a while, but gave up because of security problems.

The Ministry of Planning and Finance estimates the relocation cost, including the relocation of the Department of Defense and the renovation of the official residence, to be 49.6 billion won ($ 40.1 million).
