A Moroccan consular delegation visited, on Monday, one of the farms, leader of the red fruit sector in the Huelva region to focus on the reception and working conditions of Moroccan seasonal workers recruited under the Moroccan-Spanish program. circular migration.

The delegation, including in particular the Consul General of Morocco in Seville Charif Cherkaoui, met representatives of the local authorities of the province of Huelva as well as the representative of a local agricultural union. During this meeting, the various parties examined the means of surrounding this operation with all the conditions for success.

Emphasis was placed, on the Moroccan side, on the importance of the establishment of a support mechanism for Moroccan workers, throughout the agricultural campaign as well as respect for the terms of employment contracts signed in Morocco.

In this context, Cherkaoui reiterated the government’s commitment to Moroccan agricultural workers and its mobilization in order to guarantee them the best conditions of employment and reception.
