MIn the middle of the decade a phenomenon appeared in the art world. Young artists flooded the market with predominantly formalistic visual programs. Her work could be seen at all trade fairs, in a number of galleries, and in a very short time had reached an almost spectacular price level in the art trade, which had often started in auctions. Contrary to the traditional market laws, their works of art changed hands at a rapid pace – with constantly rising prices.
What happened there There was quite a hoopla around this so-called “art flipping”. This went on for a few years, until it turned out that this gold vein was also exhausted, mainly because it was based on a system of extremely fragile elements.
