RIYADH: Jawaharlal Nehru issued a warning to sponsors who allow workers to work under others outside the sponsorship and to expatriates who engage in such work. In this way, those who are allowed to work without a sponsor will be jailed for six months and fined up to one lakh rupees. Jawasat also explained that recruitment will not be allowed for five years.

Penalties apply to sponsors who allow foreign workers under their sponsorship to work in other establishments of the sponsor, or under any other persons or establishments. The General Directorate of Passports has warned that not only the worker who is caught, but also their real sponsors will be punished.

The authorities also warned that expatriates caught in this way will be banned from entering Saudi Arabia for life and deported.

Jawaharlal Nehru has called on those with information about those who violate residency, employment and border security laws to report the matter to 911 in Makkah, Riyadh and Sharqiya regions, and through 999 in other regions of Saudi Arabia.
