Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that the UAE today began sharing scientific data obtained through the Hope Probe, which is exploring the planet Mars, with the rest of the international research centers.

He said on Twitter that the probe had discovered more than expected amounts of oxygen on the planet.

He pointed to a picture taken by the probe of the spring in the northern part of the planet.

The probe reached the orbit of Mars last February, as part of an Emirati project to explore Mars.

And last February, the Emirati “Amal” probe was sent into orbit around Mars, becoming the first Arab country to reach the Red Planet.

In the same month, the probe sent the first image of the planet Mars taken by the first Arab space probe, from an altitude of 25,000 kilometers above the surface of the red planet.

The probe mission will last for a full Martian year (687 Earth days), extending until April 2023, to ensure that the three scientific devices carried by the probe on board monitor all the required scientific data that humans have not previously reached about the Martian climate, and the mission of the probe may extend for a year. Another Martian, if needed, to gather more data and reveal more secrets about the Red Planet.
