For the aforementioned VOLUME 2, it was expected to see Vecna’s confrontation against Eleven and her friends.

Let’s remember that “Vecna”, villain of this fourth season is a fearsome creature of human origin aligned with Upside Down. Today, turned into a monster without feelings, this villain manipulator of minds has his sights on Eleven but also on his friends.

WHAT THE END LEFT US

Chapter 8 begins by confirming the Machiavellian intentions of Dr. Martin Brenner of wanting to use Eleven to connect with Henry Creel, his number 1 patient, who was pushed by his daughter into a strange portal that ended up turning him into the fearsome Vecna.

After a confrontation with Eleven, Brenner is shot down by the military and abandoned by his own daughter, in the middle of the desert. “I did it for you, please tell me you understand,” he says to her youngest, to which she takes her hand and then walks away from him.

Later, back with her group of friends, Eleven gets into the mind of Vecna to defeat him but he will realize that it is not as simple as he imagined. In this parallel world, Max is in danger again, who, like his friend, thought that he could face the great villain but ended up giving in to his power.

She hears him and reinforced with what she has heard, she pushes against Vecna who has a dying Max in her clutches.

Nearly struck down by Eleven in the mental arena, Vecna’s body is found by Nancy, Steve, and Robin in the Upside Down. The trio, empowered with fire and weapons they’ve gathered to fight evil, burn the big bad’s body to dust.

the first fallen

Without a doubt, one of the most emotional moments of this VOLUME 2 of “Stranger Things” is when Eddie, in his eagerness to kill time and distract the large number of Demobats that were chasing him and Dustin, dies as he cannot bear the wounds left by the bites of several of them.

Dustin, his closest friend up to that point, was with him in his final moments and mourned his death in an emotional scene.

“At least this time I didn’t run away, right Dustin… I think I’m finally going to graduate, I think my year is finally here,” dear Eddie tells his friend and closes his eyes forever.

Is Max alive or dead?

Vecna needed a fourth victim to make her plan to split Hawkings in two a reality. During the confrontation with Max, she does not resist the wounds left by the monster and she is blind and fractured, she ends up dying at the hands of Lucas. With Eleven by her side, she is not resigned to seeing how her friend dies and ends up making her heart pump again.

However, that minute of Max’s death was enough for Vecna’s plan to open a fourth portal to become a reality. Once the terror has passed, we see the boys apparently well and reunited again. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Max is in an induced coma with little hope of waking up.

So far, it seems that Vecna died but everything indicates that he is alive. And it is Will himself who feels that energy and tells Mike that they must finish him off, otherwise he will kill them all.

the closure

Will, extremely sensitive for everything that has happened, feels that kind of tingling in the back of his neck again, which would indicate that the Upside Down is close again. Seconds later, a kind of snow begins to fall from the sky, which draws the attention of all the inhabitants. Eleven and her friends come out of the cabin where they finally met Jim and Joyce and see that everything is covered by a half-blooming, half-burnt forest. In the sky, a red light the color of Vecna seems to begin her new threat.

Regarding what is coming in the fifth season, it is known that it will take a temporary leap in time, however, it is unknown when it will be shot and released.
