Servette FC is in quarantine for the second time this season. The club will ask for the postponement of the matches of January 24 against St. Gallen and of the 28 in Lugano.
Several cases of Covid-19 have been diagnosed in the Geneva locker room. The cantonal doctor has decided to place the players and staff members in quarantine until January 26.
Postponement of the next 2 SFC matches
The management of the SFL has approved the request of the Geneva club to postpone its next 2 matches, the SFC no longer being able, in such a case, to count on at least 14 field players and 2 goalkeepers from its “Covid19-Playerlist” according to the new article 27 of the SFL regulations. New dates will be communicated later.
Servette had already been in quarantine at the end of October. The Super League is not spared from coronavirus infections. Thus, Vaduz, Sion, St. Gallen and Lugano had to undergo quarantines. In Lausanne, some players had to stay in isolation.
